for Embryon Philosophers

"A Dialogue between two Infants in the womb concerning the state of this world, might handsomely illustrate our ignorance of the next, whereof methinks we yet discourse in Plato's Den, and are but Embryon Philosophers."

Thomas Browne, "Hydriotaphia"

"The unexamined life is not worth living."
I found that we, as the youth, need to realize that coming together as a people is better than breaking apart as individuals. A government's safety blanket has a tenancy to make people think for themselves and not the betterment of the human race. In society, the survival of the individual is held in the balance while the survival of the human race is almost guaranteed. In terms of culture, the only forces that do more harm than good are the forces which seek to separate and divide the people as a whole. In all, I believe the path of life should be walked while holding hands with one's fellow man, not on his shoulders. I believe Socrates was right, the unexamined life is not worth living. But, I believe the phrase "the isolated life is not worth living" is closer to the point, for true happiness in life is shared.
